Hints E24: Shipment details

Here you enter the shipping specifications. This data is important for the final price.

Insert button: If you have previously saved some package templates, you can upload the package data from the saved template with one click.

Type of packaging: As a standard, it is a cardboard box with rectangular shapes. If you choose a different type of packaging, you will pay an additional fee. This is due to the difficulty that other types of packaging generate in sorting plants, e.g. stretch wrap packaging causes that the package does not move properly on the conveyor belts and must be moved manually.

Shape: A typical shape is a cardboard (cuboid) shape. Any other shapes not packed in a carton (oval, e.g. tire, or longitudinal, e.g. pipes) are subject to an additional fee.

Weight and Dimensions: Here you have to be precise because transport companies check this data in sorting plants and if the weight or dimensions have been underestimated, they demand additional payments, stopping further transport until the surcharge.

Value: this amount affects the final price. Carriers offer basic insurance up to a certain value included in the price. Above these values you have to pay compulsory additional insurance. Below are the values that are covered by the basic insurance (included in the price of the transport service):

CTT - 10,00€ per 1kg included in the price (e.g. a 25 kg parcel is insured in the shipping price up to 250,00€ value)
CORREOS EXPRESS -
